Versatility

Chlorine dioxide (ClO₂), a component of GREENOX, is highly versatile:

Bacteria

GREENOX destroys the shell and then the core of bacteria through chemical oxidation rather than chlorination. Microorganisms are completely destroyed and cannot develop resistance, allowing chlorine dioxide to be used continuously without alternative biocides.

Viruses

Thanks to its high oxidative capacity, GREENOX breaks down the protein envelope and genetic material (RNA/DNA) of viruses, rendering them inactive. It is effective even at low concentrations through oxidation, not chlorination.

Biofilms

Chlorine dioxide in GREENOX remains a gas in solution. Its molecule is strong and capable of moving throughout the system and penetrating deep into slime layers. It dissolves well even in hydrocarbon media and emulsions, oxidizing the polysaccharide matrix that holds the slime together in biofilms.
